The Simpor tree has large bright yellow petals and large leaves. When they are in a fully bloom, the petals are spreading out like an umbrella. Bunga Simpur symbolises the diversity of nature. And also since the colour of the flower itself is yellow, it represents the monarchy rule of the sultanate that symbolises royalty in many parts of Southeast Asia.
